Memphis Kings Scooter Club

Well this group started as a couple different groups of scooter enthusiasts who literally ran into each other one day. We quickly became one group & mostly talked about being a club for about a year at Boxing on Beale & occasional scooter rides. After several members attended AmeriVespa 2003, we decided it was time to be a real scooter club… all along with the intent of having our very own Dead Elvis Scooter Rally. I mean we were to be the Memphis Kings, since so many with Memphis roots called themselves the King of (fill in blank)… Elvis is King of Rock & Roll, Jerry Lawler is King of his current wrestling association, Beale Street Alum’ B.B. King is well, King of the Blues, yeah, we’re the Memphis Kings Scooter Club.
So far, the Memphis Kings S/C has pulled off a couple really fun events, Memphis Christmas Parade & Summer Poker Run, along with our twice a month meetup rides. This year we already have planned a Spring Formal Scooter Ride & are busy putting together our first weekend rally, The Dead Elvis Scooter Rally. It’s during Elvis week here in Memphis in August, and can involve anything Scooter & everything Elvis. Check out the link on the left for more info.
